You might have heard of the digital currencies Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Blockchain is the technology that underpins all of them. It's a global distributed ledger, available to everyone and allows digital information/assets to be stored, moved and managed without the need of an intermediary.
Experts say blockchain is the next generation of the internet, shifting the internet of information to the internet of value.
Blockchain will have a massive impact on all of us and the potential to revolutionize every single industry. I have put together very comprehensive explanations and cases examples to help you understand the technology and its potential.
Be aware that Blockchain is a very hyped topic right now and many companies frequently try to apply the technology in their products, even when it doesn't add significant value. I wouldn't call it a scam, but companies try to surf on the hype-wave and get attention for something which just makes their offerings more complex.
